[1121] OBITUARY: Elsie F. Wadel, age 92, of Black River Falls, Wis. and formerly of Monroe County, died on Saturday, August 17, 1996, in the Pine View Nursing Home in Black River Falls where she had been a resident since January 25th, 1994.
[1122] She was born on May 24th, 1904 in the Town of Angelo in Monroe County to Avolt and Josephine (Sacia) Nienast. She was raised in Monroe County.
[1123] She married Thomas Wadel in Monroe County on June 6, 1923. Following their marriage, the couple lived in California, Friendship, Wis., Monroe County, and then they moved to Jackson County in 1958.
[1124] Elsie worked seasonally for cranberry growers. She was a cook at the former Misenko Nursing Home and she worked in the laundry at the former Hotel Freeman, both in Black River Falls.
[1125] She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.

Surviving are two sons, Wayn (Velma), of Houston, Texas, Conrad, of Black River Falls; one sister, Dorothy (Dennis) Roberts, of Black River Falls; one sister, Ruby (Leo) Wittler, of Conrath, Wis.; two half-sisters, Carole Fusco, of
Rockville, Maryland, and Jeanette Edwards, of Greensboro, North Carolina; 18 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
[1127] She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, on August 1, 1985, two sons, Donald and Douglas, two brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services were Tuesday morning, August 20, 1996, at 11 a.m. from the funeral chapel. Pastor Charles Strong officiated and burial was in Brookside Cemetery in Millston, Wis. Friends called at the funeral chapel on Monday from 6
until 8 pm and on tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

[408] Mr. Yeskie was born September 7, 1888 in the Town of Little Falls, Monroe County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Yeskie Sr., He married Emma Beck in 1910 and she passed away in 1927. In 1931 he married Jennie Stetzer who passed away in 1947.

Balzer of La Crosse; 10 grandchildren and seven Great-granchildren; and three step children.
