in Melrose, Wis.

[838] They have two children, William (Jane) Hartung, Melrose, and Gary (Jane) Hartung, Onalaska. They have seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
[839] William Hartung and Lucille Rodenberg were married June 21, 1947, in the Burr Oak Lutheran Church at Burr Oak, Wis.
[840] William is retired from Overgaard Construction. Lucille is retired from Northern Engraving.

[843] OBITUARY: William C. Hartung, Jr., age 76, of Bangor, WI, died Sunday, November 1, 1998 at Franciscan-Skemp Medical Center, La Crosse, WI.

He was born March 10, 1922, to William and Ottelia (Koss) Hartung in Cataract, WI. On May 28, 1922, Bill was adopted into God's family through the sacrament of Holy Baptism. He made public profession of his faith at his confirmation
on May 24, 1936, at Christ Ev. Lutheran Church of Burr Oak, WI.

He was united in marriage on June 21, 1947, to Lucille Rodenberg. They farmed for many years on the home farm in Cataract, WI. Bill later worked as a truck driver for the Overgaard Construction Company until his retirement in 1981.
In April of 1995, they sold the home farm and moved to Bangor, WI.
[846] Bill loved the outdoors and watching sports, especially football. He enjoyed his family and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all of them.

Bill is survived by his wife; two sons, William III (Janice) Hartung of Melrose, WI, and Gary (Janie) Hartung of Onalaska, WI; seven grandchildren, Leanna Hartung of Darien, IL, Scott (Julie) Hartung of Neillsvillc, WI, Jeremiah (Dana)
Hartung of Clovis Air Force Base, NM, Doug (Sandy) Conrad of Denver, CO, Debbie (Randy) Kniprath and Donnie Conrad, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and Denise Conrad of Melrose, WI; six great-grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler Hartung, Zachary Hartung,
and Sherri, Doug Jr., and Megan Conrad; one sister, Ruth Doer of Trcmpealeau, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews.
[848] Funeral services are being held at 11:00 am on Thursday,
