Note: Sondra was born at home in Pigeon Falls, Wis. They later moved to a small house just east of the Upper Pigeon Church on the same side of the hgwy 121 road. They rented this 4 room house from Francis (Shorty) Peterson for $4 per
month up until they moved in 1952. The house no longer is standing but had no running water or electricity. Sondra went to grade school right across the road and then went to 4 yr High School at Hixton, graduating Salutatorian of her class of
18 in 1952. She then went to a 6 month secretarial school in Eau Claire Wis. where the family moved. She then took a job as secretary to the Supertendent of Eau Claire Schools. She worked there until she married. Sondra and Wally had their
first date on April 10th, 1951. Wally and Bonnie Thompson (Olver); and Sondra and Charles Thomley each had Clarinet Duets in band competition in La Crosse, Wisc. We all got 1's in Class A and B respectively. We dated on thru College and became
engaged on April 10th, 1955. Wally had spring break and surprised Sondra by picking her up from work on the 10th and proposed. She accepted and they were married on Sept 3rd. 1955 at the Upper Pigeon Church in Northfield. Wally had one year of
college left and they lived 1316 St. James Ct. in Madison. It had a kitchen and one other room with a sofa bed, was upstairs and had to share a bath with 3 other single college students. Sondra was secretary for Arthur Uhl, Dean of Pharmacy at
the University. The Dean was a first cousin, two generations removed to Wally. Don And Bonnie Olver lived about 4 blocks away, and Earl Cotter lived about 5 blocks away as he was working on his masters. After graduation in June of 1956, they
moved to Kansas City, Kansas, at 4461 Eaton. Wally worked at the Marley Co., 222 W Gregory, Kc., Mo. and Sondra worked at the Credit Union in the Plaza. She walked to and from work. In April, 1957, Wally was drafted into the service, and after
basic training was assigned to the Corps of Engineering Labs at Fort Belvoir, Va. We lived in the upstairs of a private home when Mark was born. We finished service in April, 1959 and returned to KC and lived 2910 1/2 w 44th Ave. KC, Ks. In
Nov., 1959 we bought a house on 6425 Santa Fe Dr., Op. Ks. Sondra did not work outside the home until about 1976.

Aunt Bertha wanted to raise the girls, Adolph said no, because he didn't want to give them up. Then Aunt Bertha asked for Violet, but Adolph said they had to stay together, one night he dreamed of Stella, the next day he went to visit her and
very shortly after they combined 4 motherless girls and a girl and boy who were fatherless They got married and became a family. So simple in those days.

Wilhelmine Jeske were married on March 17th, 1898 in the Lutheran church in Little Falls, Monroe Co. The registrants and parents were all born in Germany. JJ Meyer of Burr Oak officiated. J Bock, Otto Jeske, B Bock, and M Bock were witnesses.
