OBITUARY: Alice B. Sweet, 75, of 227 Copeland Ave., died Tuesday, April 5, 1994, in her home. She was born Jan. 4, 1919, in Melrose to Charles and Nellie (Amborn) Yeske. She married Jack Sweet and he preceded her in death. She had
worked for Metallics and Dale Wernecke. She is survived by two sisters, Harriet Svoboda and Mildred Nesseth, both of La Crosse; three brothers, Merlin (Ethel) Yeske and James (Rosmary) Yeske, both of La Crosse, and Robert Yeskie and his friend,
Shirley of Hixton; and a half brother, Charles (Jean) Yeske of Fresno, Calif. In addition to husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers; two sisters; and a special friend, Dick Bettsinger. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday from
Dickinson Family Funeral Homes' Gillette St. Chapel. The Rev. William McBride will officiate. Burial will be in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be
given to the Alice B. Sweet Memorial Fund.

[362] OBITUARY;{{MONROE COUNTY DEMOCRAT-5-12-1955}}Edward Yeske passed away at his home Saturday, May 7, 1955, after a lingering illness at the age of 78 yrs, 11 months, and seven days.
[363] He was born in Germany, on May 31, 1876, He came to his country at the age of eight, He lived with his parents in cataract until the time of his marriage to Delia Blado.

To this union four children were born, one preceding him, in death in infancy. He is survived by his wife, Delia; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Eties of Milwaukee and Mrs. Roger Young of Sparta; one son, Raymond of La Crosse; three sisters, Mrs.
Bertha Balzer, Mrs. Emma Verthine and Mrs. Agnes Bauffleur, all of La Crosse; two Brothers, Charles, of La Crosse, and Fred of Melrose. Also Eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
[365] Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 10th at 2 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church, Pastor H. W. Winkel officiating, Burial was in the woodlawn Cemetery.
