[463] Obituary: Oliver L. O'Hearn, 62 former Melrose village President and owner of O'Hearn's Ford garage died Monday, March 21, in a La Crosse hospital.
[464] O'Hearn served as village president for 19 years and operated the garage which he took over from his father, since 1957. The business had been in the family since 1909. He also owned and operated O'Hearn's Produce for many years.
[465] He was born April 16, 1914 in Melrose to Frank and Flora O'Hearn. He married Helen Yeskie Sep. 2, 1934.

Survivors are his widow; two sons, Gary of Portage and Jeffrey of San Francisco, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Grunewald of Oconomowoc and Mrs. Gary (Judith) Larkin of Portage; six grandchildren; his mother of Black River Falls; and two
sisters, Mrs. Orville (Margaret) Preston of Nekoosa and Mrs. Glen (Nathilla) Stetzer of Mindoro. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
[467] He was a member of the Masons in Black River Falls, the Zor Temple and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and a member of the Melrose Rotary Club.

Services were held at 2 p.m., March 24 from the Melrose United Methodist church with the Rev. James Barnes officaiating. Burial was in the Melrose cemetery. Friends called at the Smith Mortuary on Wed. evening and at the church on Thurs.,
until the services.
