OBITUARY:: June 27, 1938, Monroe County Democrat} Edward Yeske was born in Germany on January 28, 1858. He came to the United States with his parents in 1874 and settled in the Town of Litttle Falls, Monroe County, Wisconsin. In
the year 1884 he was united in Marriage with minnie Stark, to which union eight children were born. Two daughters preceded him in death.
[33] In the year 1915 the family moved to Sparta, Wisconsin, where they have since made their home, except for a few years when they lived on a farm a few miles west of the city.

Mr. Yeske died Monday Morning, June 20, at eleven O'clock. Funeral services were held today, thursday, June 233, at 1:30 at the house and two O'clock at the Lutheran church. Burial was made in the cemetery at Cataract. The Rev. Arthur
Berg of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church officiated.
[35] Mr. Yeske attained the age of 80 years, four months and 22 days.

The survivors are his bereaved widow; four sons, namely, Henry, George, William, and Edwin, all of Sparta and vicinity; two daughters, Mrs. Ella Storandt of Mindoro, and Mrs. Theressa Fries of Ontario, Canada; one brother, Fred Yeske of
La Crosse; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Hartung of Minneapolis, Minn.; 23 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
