OBITUARY{Melrose Chronicle Sept 27, 1918} Sudden Death of Mrs. Hermina Yeske at La Crosse. Last week's Thursday evening La Crosse Tribune gives the following account of the sudden death of Mrs. Hermina Yeske, well known in Melrose
vicinity.

" Mrs. Hermina Yeske, 64, dropped dead at her bench in the Borden Leaf Tobacco warehouse on Green Bay street yeesterday afternoon. A physician said the cause was heart disease. Mrs. Yeske had been in good health. He was born in Germany and
has lived here for many years."

Surviving are four daughters and three sons. They are Mrs. Adolph Scheurer, Milwaukee; Mrs. William Baier, La Crosse; Mrs. Peter Harden, Leon, Wis.; Mr. John Bossleur, La Crosse; Fred Yeske, Melrose; Charles Yeske, Black River Falls, and
Edward Yeske, Sparta. Her husband also survives.
[355] The body has been taken to Cataract near Sparta. Burial will be made ther Saturday. Funeral sevices will be held in Sparta.

OBITUARY;{Melrose Chronicle, June 2, 1993} Hillman "Slim" Yeske, age 63, of Butternut, Wisconsin, died Friday, May 28th, 1993, at his home. He was born on Dec. 6, 1929, in Cataract, Wis., to parents Arthur and Orpha (Baker) Yeske. He spent
his early years in Cataract and Melrose. He marrie Joyce Roseland on November 6, 1948, in Melrose. They later divorced and he married Darleen Meier on Nov. 13, 1967, he and his wife moved to Butternut, where they were the owner/operators of
Slim & Dar's Par-A-Dice Bar. He also was a commercial semi-truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Darleen, of Butternut; a son, Gregory (Barbara) Yeske of West Allis, Wis.; four daughters, Vicky (James) Sommerfeld, of Burlington, Wis., Patricia (Floyd) Schmidt of Prescott, Wis., Gina Yeske and Cindy Yeske,
both of Butternut; six grandchildren, Christine and Brian Yeske, Paul, Jon, Jason and Sherri Schmidt; two brothers, Laurel (Ethel) Yeske of Burlington, Wis.,, and Mervin (Belva) Yeske of New Berlin, Wis; and numerous nieces andnephews. He was
preceded in death by this parents.

Family and friends called at the Novitzke Funeral Home in Park Falls after 3 PM, Monday, May 31, and on Tuesday, June 1, 1993 from 9:30 AM until the hour of service at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Butternut. Services were held Tues.,, June
1, 1993 at 10:30 AM with the Rev. Daniel Paavola offiating. Burial was at Butternut Union Cemetery in Butternut, Wis.

[760] Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Asbury United Methodist Church The Rev. Joseph Lukonic will officiate. Burial will be in the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery.
