Wedding{{La Crosse Tribune, 6-28-1913, p5c5}} Wedn esday afternoon at 3 o'clock Occurred the marriage of Bertha Yeske, sister of Mrs. John Boufffleur, and William E. Baier. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Julius Gamm at the German
Lutheran Church. Thery were atended by the Misses Helen Yeske, Ethel Bouffleur and Messrs. Ernest Hoffman and Walter Tischner/
[634] The bride wore a gown of crepe du chine trimmed with shadow lace and pearl ornaments and carried a bouquet of white bridal roses. She wore a veil made with cap effect with wreath of roses.
[635] At six o'clock an elaborate wedding dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Boufffler.
[636] About sixty guests atternded, mostly out of town guest. Mrs and Mrs. Baier will be at home at 1126 Adams Street.

[641] OBITUARY: { Melroxe Chronicle, Wed., Nov 15th, 1995} Bertha D. Baier Balzer, 103, a resident of Bethany St. Joseph Care Center, died Wednesday, November 8, 1995, at the care center.

She was born August 26th, 1892, at Little Falls, Wis., to Fred and Hermina(Krueger) Yeske. She married William L. Baier on June 25, 1912, in La Crosse and he preceded her in death in 1936. She married Ollie Balzer and preceded her in death
in 1945. She worked at Lutheran Hospital for many years. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mildred Schrader, of La Crosse, and Lillian Kilen, of West Salem; by a son, William (Lorna) Baier, of La Crosse; by five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three
sisster; three brothers; and a grandchild.
[644] Funeral services were at 1 p.m. friday. The Rev. Roger Sachs officiated and burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends called from 11:30 a.m. until services Friday in the funeral home.
[645] Memorials may be given to First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
[646] Melvin Yeskie and Helen O'Hearn attended the funeral for Bertha Balzer Friday in La Crosse.
