[449] Obituary: Richard L. MeGrath. Services for Richard L. MeGrath, 67, were held on Saturday, Feb. 2 1985, at 1:30p.m. in Whitehall Methodist Church. The Rev. thomas Lambrecht officiated. Burial was in Lincoln Cemetery, Whitehall.
[450] Friends may call at the Jack Funeral Home, Whitehall, today from 9 to 11 a.m. and at the church from 12:30 p.m. until the services.
[451] Megrath died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 1985, in La Crosse Lutheran Hospital.
[452] He was born Oct. 3, 1917, in Ottumwa, Iowa to Lester and Mary (Humphrey) Megrath.
[453] He married Irene Yeskie on Feb., 16, 1945, in La Crosse.
[454] Megrath formerly operated the Oasis Bar and Restaurant in Osseo. At the time of his death, he operated the Northern Boiler and Construction Co. in Whitehall.
[455] He was a World War IINavy Seabee veteran and a member of the Osseo American Legion Post and the Elks Lodge in Omaha, Neb.
[456] He was a former chairman of Trempealeau County Democratic Partly.
[457] Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Linda Cox of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Vicki Gifford of Lake Elmo, Minn.; a brother, John of Agency, Iw.; five granddaughters; and a sister, Margaret Vest of Ottumwa.
[458] He was preceded in death by an infant son.
