Note: Dorothy was born on the kitchen table during a blizzard, in downtown Milwaukee, in an apartment above a hotel. Her father bought his first tavern on Canal Street, next to the packing house. Her first memories are of the cows that would

OBITUARY;{{ BANNER JOURNAL, JUNE 7, 1967;}} Mrs. Bertha Stratton, 79, of Black River Falls, Formerly of the Irving area, passed away Friday, June 2, 1967 at the Black River Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health. She
was born October 9, 1887 in the Town of Little Falls, Monroe Co.
[113] She was married to Howard Stratton in April of 1907 and he died in April of 1950. They had lived in the Irving area 40 years. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Anna Young of the Misenko Home here.

The funeral was at 3 P.M. Sunday from the Torgerson Funeral Chapel with the Res. T. A. Rykken officiating. Interment was in the Irving Cemetery. Friends called at the chapel from 7 to 9 Saturday evening and Sunday until time of
services.
